OLOPC LOCATION

 

The Centre Offers the following services to people with disabilities:

   Medical Clinics :
 

(dental, ophthalmic, and general medical clinic); The Center provides medical services to challenged individuals through fully equipped ophthalmic, dental and general clinics. Medical services are extended through these clinics to different types and cases of disabilities and age groups. Services include handicapped escorts provided by doctors appointed by the Ministry of Health who work at the Center and provide free of charge medical services.                         

 
 
   Classes for daily independence skills :
 

The Center also has an Counseling Section with classes for Daily independence skills which provides services to its beneficiaries through classes, diagnosis, Sessions for severely disabled persons, computer lab, speech therapy among other services. The classes accommodate for children of ages ranging from 6 to 14 years suffering from mild to moderate disabilities.

 
 
    Vocational training :
 

Above 14 years old. Vocational training is one of the major and vital programs offered by the Center. It provides challenged individuals with the opportunity to learn, improve them selves and pursue a productive vocation which in turn can enhance their potential skills and contribute to returning them to their natural place in society as equal, qualified and productive citizens. The vocational training program provides handicraft workshop to students above 14 years of age. Such programs are designed in accordance with the different levels of capabilities and aim at strengthening beneficiaries' skills, developing their self-confidence, enhancing self-expression and most importantly improving productivity

 
 
    Physiotherapy Section :
 

this section has been established to help increase movement capability in joints and decrease or eliminate pain. This section includes the following units: hydrotherapy, electrotherapy treatment (Ultrasound, ULTRA Violet, T.E.N.S, and Electrical Stimulation), Cerebral Palsy, exercise and massage in addition to occupational therapy and Sicometricty.

 
 
     Home Visits Program :
 

this is one of the most vital and active departments of the Center. It aims at reaching those who are in great need of the Center's services but who are located in areas characterized by modest educational, medical and rehabilitation services.
